- TLC Practice exam 2.0 for iPhone and iPad, since 2023
- TLC Practice Exam 2027: NYC for Android phones and tablets, on Google Play
All three use the same question bank: 800+ exam-style questions in 10 full-length tests, in 8 languages. Which app is right for me?
What we do
We help new drivers prepare for the TLC Driver License Exam that every yellow cab, green cab, for-hire vehicle and rideshare driver in New York City has to pass. Many of them are studying in their second or third language, so every test is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Russian, Bengali, French and Urdu.
We check our questions against the TLC Rules (Chapter 80) and the TLC's driver education material, and we update them when the rules change. On this website you can take a free full 80-question practice exam and shorter tests by topic, with explanations of the answers, in English and Spanish.

TLC Practice Exam is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission (TLC). For official rules, fees and applications, see nyc.gov/tlc.
